Start the Windows Server Essentials Dashboard, highlight the server and choose ‘Set up Backup for the server’. You also see below that option the Azure Online backup but that is described in another article. Choose Next In the case you do not see any drive listed choose ‘Show all drives..’ and check the drive you want to include in your backup schedule. In my case this is a VMWare virtual disk because that is what I use to make screenshots for the tutorials. Click next. Setup warns you that everything will be deleted on the drive you choose. Choose ‘Yes’. Give the drive a name. You can change the default schedule to something else if you wish, I choose the default schedule and that is twice a day. If you have more drives and/or partitions choose which you want to include in your backup schedule. Read the summary of your settings and choose ‘Apply settings’. The first time the backup will run is scheduled for 12 PM but you may want to run it immediately. If you want to run it immediately choose ‘Start a backup for the server’. Choose ‘Yes’. After awhile you will see the progress in the backup status.
